Title of Position: Right to Refuse to Kill worker

War Resisters' International is a network of pacifist organisations and individuals around the world. We are looking to hire a new worker for our Right to Refuse to Kill programme, which supports conscientious objectors (COs) and CO solidarity organisations around the world. The new worker will be based in Colombia, and run the Right to Refuse to Kill (RRtK) Programme alongside the other RRtK staff member who is based in our London office, and alongside other staff, the Executive Committee and the WRI Network. This will include planning WRI’s International Assembly in Colombia in 2019.

This position is an opportunity to work with an international grassroots network of pacifist and antimilitarist organisations, setting up a new hub for our staff team in Colombia.

The selected candidate will need to be fluent in Spanish and English, self motivated, have good computer skills, able to work as part of a small team, andbeable to demonstrate a commitment to pacifist and antimilitarist principles.Experience in organising events and fundraising is an advantage.

Salary and terms

The exact salary is still to be confirmed, but will be the equivalent to (local) staff in similar organisations in Colombia. The position is subject to a review after one year. Itis currently funded until April 2020, and can be extended further if further funding is secured.
